Whispers in the Woods

Whispers in the Woods is a mystery murder film. Murder, she wrote was a huge inspiration for this film idea. When I was younger, both of my parents had full time jobs, so my grandmother was the one that I spent most of my time with out of school. Besides Jerry Springer and Jeopardy, one of the repeatedly watched shows was Murder, she wrote which is a crime drama about a mystery writer and amateur detective. The main character is Jessica Fletcher, played by Angela Lansbury, and is about how she develops from a retired English teacher to a very well-known detective solving murders in Cabot cove or on her travels. She is often roped into the investigations due to her curiosity or personal connections, and end with the murderer being caught and being brought to justice.   

The first two minutes, I am planning to be the setup of the whole plot. It will start with the killer carrying a body into the forest, the killer throws the body onto the ground, and it is a close up of the teenager's body, covered in dirt, blood, and knife wounds. As the camera is focused on the body, lighting changes and a white tarp is pulled over the body. The viewer is then introduced to the main character, Emma Cook, played by me, talking to the medical examiner, Marie Williams. They converse of who the body may be and when/how she died.

The rest of the movie will follow not only Emma and her trying to figure out the mass serial killer. But also, the audience learning about Emma's past and how she got to the small town of Eastbay, Florida. Emma will investigate other murders, with victims that are similar in age and appearance linked to the original one and in the end, viewers find out the reason that Emma moved to Eastbay. While trying to get away from her controlling and possessive ex, she accidently hits them with her car, she leaves thinking that she killed them but in reality, they lived, and followed her to Eastbay. As a result, he punishes her by killing young girls that are similar to her younger sister's appearance, blonde hair with blue eyes. It is also revealed that Emma's younger sister was killed by an uncaught murderer and dumped in the middle of the woods with 3 stab wounds, when Emma was younger. It will have a fight sequence where Emma's ex stabs her in the heart at the same time, she shoots them, and they both end up dying at the same time.
