Same Genre, New Plot
My original movie idea was called; "Whispers in the Woods", about a detective, Emma, following a string of murders trying to catch the killer. It ends up being her ex-boyfriend who followed her from her hometown to get her attention and 'punish' her for leaving him.
My new plot idea is about two sisters, the younger sister is killed, the older sister holds the sole responsibility of finding out her murderer no thanks to police. The older sister is constantly being put back not only due to the killer trying to cover their tracks but also from the older sisters own mental health issues and guilt. I have also called the new idea; "The Sisters".
The first two minutes of my film will start with a memory between the two sisters of them in the local park. It will have soft nostalgic music while the older sister is giving a monologue which allows an easy transition to the next scene which will be the two sisters fighting and the older one leaving for a walk. Later on the older sister comes back to the living area trashed and messy and her younger sister dead in the middle of it. If I have time I would like to include a short scene of the older sister with pieces of evidence and various pictures trying to piece things together. Another thing to not is that whenever the younger sister is shown in a scene, whether she is already dead or alive, her face is either hidden or blurred in some way. This is something that is like an unsaid spoiler as at the end of the movie the audience finds out that it was the older sister that actually killed her younger sister, in a blind rage. The younger sisters face being blurred is the older sisters mind trying to block the emotional and mental trauma that she caused.
