Criminology is represented heavily in murder mystery media. There are things that are done well, while other things are done badly, misinforming the audience of the practices of criminology. Movies often use criminology elements to create a suspenseful and engaging experience to the audience. Forensic science and criminal profiling enhances entertainment value of the media for tits audience.
